Craniosacral aims to improve the physiological function of the craniosacral system, which includes the spinal cord, the skull, the cranial membranes, the cerebrospinal fluid and the fascia. This boost is facilitated by the elimination of abnormal tension stored in the dura mater, the fascia and even the skull itself.

We will facilitate hands-on work on the master zones of our physical and energetic bodies: the skull, its membranes, the spinal cord and medulla, the CS fluid and the sacral region.

Students will acquire different intervention techniques that are targeted at those areas, some of which are fairly tactile. Other techniques can be performed at a distance.

They will learn how to combine craniosacral work with the principles of Biogravitational Energy and with connective tissue and fascia manipulation practices.

The course includes the study of reflex zones in the spinal cord and in the skull, using advanced reflexology maps as a reference and using both the hands and reflexology sticks as tools.

Especially in combination with the learnings in Unit II – Body Reflex, this course allows therapists to surgically direct their healing method to the actual root of the problem for the symptoms felt by their clients.

Main goals

At the end of the course, students will be able to:

  • Successfully conduct Craniosacral treatments. Understand the importance of the skull and of the spinal cord and their implications to other systems in the body. Is able to influence the correct sacrocranial reflexes.
Specific objectives

At the end of the course, students will be able to:

  • Read, interpret and appreciate the flow of craniosacral rhythms;
  • Identify problems by feeling specific points on their clients’ feet and skull;
  • Successfully apply craniosacral and fascial therapy techniques;
  • Effectively act upon reflex zones on the spinal cord and the skull;
  • Create and execute a Time Based Reflexology treatment plan;
  • Explore synergies between these techniques and Biogravitational Energy;
  • Understand and explain the anatomy of the craniosacral system;
  • Understand and explain the function and movements of the fascia;
  • Follow the Craniosacral and Fascial Therapy protocol;
  • Tailor the use of Biogravitational Energy to each different context.

Paulo Pais

(Founder, TESED and NVR – Neurovisceral Reflexology)

After having studied Clinical Hypnosis, Foot Reflexology, Iridology and Craniosacral Therapy, Paulo started his clinical practice in 2009. In addition to the therapeutic techniques mentioned above, he has also studied Chinese Medicine and Visceral Manipulation. Paulo thinks of medicine as a broad field of knowledge, and his positioning as a professional reflects this: from the onset, he looks at each human being holistically. Deepening this viewpoint, he founded the concept of Integrated Holistic Medicine (IHM) in 2011. During the following year, Paulo worked on putting into practice the IMH theory and developed two therapeutic methods, TESED and NVR, examples of how the body, mind and soul are three pieces to an integrated whole.

Susana Silva

Susana started her therapy and personal development training in 2007, and that was when she found her true passion – Reflexology. She later attended multiple seminars that focused on zone therapy, where she learned about emotional patterns and states of imbalance. She’s been training therapists since 2009 all over the country. As someone who constantly likes to evolve and learn, Susana was acquainted with a new approach to reflexology, popular in Northern Europe: Full-Body Reflexology, which marked a turning point in her clinical and teaching approach and since 2014 that she dedicates to teaching reflexology with her own method – Tesed Method.
